PILGRIMS
Over the past several years, my work has explored the transformation of two-dimensional surfaces toward richly sculptural reliefs. I have employed an extensive range of media from plaster to precious metals, constantly seeking to spark and alter the imagination. In the new "Pilgrims" series, I revert to the power of pictorial surfaces seeking to record the energy fields of these reliefs, thus, allowing myself to "see" once again, beyond the material.
As quoted by the French poet Paul Valéry “To see is to forget the name of the thing one sees.”
